We foster community through socials across the semester, a big-little program, and volunteering events to give back to our community!
Texas Energy Consulting (TECO) is a student-led consulting organization at the University of Texas at Austin that partners with energy companies to solve real-world challenges through data driven research and analysis. TECO boasts a diverse array of members across business, engineering, technology, and government to bring a variety of minds to solve complex issues.
TECO is driven by its core values of growth, community, and impact. Each of our members undergoes a rigorous, semester-long consulting and energy curriculum covering the energy industry, consulting fundamentals, market research, data analysis, and leadership skills.
From client projects to the team behind them — see what TECO is all about.
Mapped out competitive dynamics, regulatory context, and market structure, so you can see where your risk sits and where the open opportunities are.
Models built to hold up under high-stakes capital and technology decisions. We compare technologies across CapEx, degradation, and incentives, then stress-test every assumption with sensitivity analysis.
We determine whether technology is economically and politically viable with concrete deliverables, feasibility matrices, policy papers to turn into strategic targets you can actually plan against.
We help clients identify where machine learning and AI can move the needle, then build proof-of-concept models and evaluation frameworks.
Assess and reduce operational and cybersecurity exposure across the business, from KPI dashboards that show where you stand to implementation playbooks that close the gaps.
We build strategic plans for talent pipelines and organizational growth so the workforce is there when you need it.
TECO gives sponsors direct access to a community of students passionate about the energy industry and adjacent sectors, trained through consulting work, technical education, and professional development.
Sponsors gain visibility among high-performing students within TECO and across the broader UT Austin energy community through event presence, sponsor recognition, and targeted on-campus programming.
